Just FYI, if you came here from that button in the email I wanted you to know we hope you enjoy the Story of this Full Body PPF RIVIAN.

So many that I made this gif
What’s the Deal with Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
Paint Protection Film, or PPF, is essentially a clear, tough-as-nails urethane film that you slap on your car to keep it looking fresh. It’s like putting armor on your RIVIAN—protecting it from road rash, dings, and even UV rays. Best part? You can’t even tell it’s there, but it’s working overtime to keep your paint job mint.
Prep:
Clean It Up: Wash the car thoroughly to remove dirt, grime, and any wax.
Our Paint Protection Specialists™ start with deep cleaning the wheels and eventually move on to apply Americana Global Iron Fallout Removal and Americana Global Surface Prep.
These products will remove both chemical contaminants as well as large surface debris, making the contact wash much safer later on.
Dry It Off: Make sure the car is completely dry before we start install.
Laying Down the Film
Laying Down the Film
Here’s How:
- Spray and Lay: Drench the section you’re working on with the soapy water solution. This helps you reposition the film.
- Peel and Place: Peel off the backing from the PPF and lay it on the wet surface. Start small to get the hang of it.
- Position Perfectly: Adjust the film until it’s perfectly aligned. The soapy water lets you slide it around easily.
- Smooth It Out: Use the squeegee from the center out to push out air bubbles and excess water. Go slow and steady.
- Wrap the Edges: Warm the edges with the heat gun to make the film more flexible, then wrap it around the panel edges for a seamless look.

Installing Tint
Expertly installing tint on a RIVIAN R1S is an art that combines precision, patience, and the right tools.
We start by meticulously cleaning the windows to ensure a dust-free surface, as even the smallest particles can ruin the finish.
Carefully measure and cut the tint film to match the exact dimensions of each window.
Proper tint installation not only enhances the car’s aesthetic appeal but also provides privacy, reduces glare, and protects the interior from UV damage. For a car as bold as a RIVIAN, a flawless tint job completes its energy saving perks while adding practical benefits.
Final Touches
Trim It Up:
- Carefully trim any excess film with the utility knife. Be gentle to avoid scratching your paint.
Inspect and Perfect:
- Check for any remaining bubbles or imperfections. Use the heat gun to smooth out any areas that need it.
Cure Time:
- Let the film cure for 24-48 hours. Don’t wash the car during this time.
Maintenance Tips
- Regular Washes: Keep your car clean with a pH-balanced shampoo.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Stick to products made for PPF.
- Frequent Inspections: Look for any lifting edges or damage and fix them ASAP.
